Is my information public?

You have full control over what information you want to share and with whom. All of the information you enter, with the exception of your first name and username, can be set to private, and you can choose from three visibility options: Public, All Members, and Only Me.

You can change the visibility option individually for each piece of information, allowing you to customize the level of access to your information. For example, you can set your emergency contact information to Public, your medications to All Members, and your medical conditions to Only Me. This way, everyone can see who your emergency contact is, only registered site users can see your medications, and only you can see your medical conditions. This flexibility allows you to tailor the level of access to your specific needs, helping you feel more secure and confident in using Knock ID to store and manage your medical information.

How does the card work?

The Knock ID card is powered by NFC (near field communication) technology, which is the same technology used by popular mobile payment systems like Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you have ever made a payment using your phone in a store, you are already familiar with NFC technology.

To access your medical information with the Knock ID card, simply tap it on your phone’s NFC reader. The location of the reader may vary depending on the type of phone you have. On iPhones, the reader is typically located near the top of the phone by the camera modules. On Android phones, the reader is often located near the middle of the phone. If you are unsure where to find the NFC reader on your phone, you can refer to your phone’s manual for more information.

How can I create a profile for me and my family?

Each card can only be linked to one profile. For that reason, we require that a profile is created for each individual and a separate card is purchased for each profile.

Do I have to purchase the card to create a profile?

Yes. In order to create a medical profile, you will first need to purchase the Knock ID card.

Does the card need to be charged?

No. NFC chips do not require power and have a lifespan of over 10 years.

How durable is the card?

The card is made of PVC plastic and is waterproof.

When does the card ship?

Please allow 24-48 hours processing time before your card is shipped.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, please view our return policy here.

Is there a warranty?

The Knock ID card is protected by a lifetime warranty. If your card experiences problems due to normal wear and tear, we will replace it at no cost to you. The only expense you may incur is the cost of shipping.

This warranty ensures that you can have confidence in the quality and durability of your Knock ID card, and you can use it with peace of mind knowing that it is backed by a lifetime warranty.
